Frequently Asked Questions:

And the whole COVID thing?

Curious Goat will continue to exceed our COVID safety responsibility with fully vaccinated private groups. We're tripled vaccinated, and we can decide on mask-wearing when you get here! We will either be outside or a fully ventilated space. We will always refund bookings should restrictions suddenly increase, For your questions about the Experience, see below!

What should I bring?

The Experience is mostly outdoors, so dress for the weather, rain or shine - rain jacket, floppy hat, and casual clothes. Curious Goat is zero-waste, so bring your re-useable water and drink containers!

What's in the Field Picnic?

Here's a list of what you'll be served. We're glad to substitute vegan, gluten free and dairy free options free of charge:

- Curious Goat Raw honey

- PECish Bakery Baguette baked that day

- Lighthall Vineyard’s Sheep’s Milk Cheese

- Bantam PEC’s Charcuterie and home-made quickles

- Fiddlehead Farms PEC Crudite

Ask about adding County beer, cider and sparkling wine, by special arrangement. Email us with any dietary needs!

You’ll be in the natures.

Your Curious Goat visit will be beautifully imperfect - the perfect opportunity to slow down and connect. You’ll see bees and bugs about, but we don’t go into the hives. The ground is uneven. And of course there's the best outhouse in The County if you need it.

I’m allergic to bees!

Guess what? So’s the beekeeper! Bees tend to leave humans alone unless we’re seriously getting in their business. Plus they die if they sting you, unlike sky-jerks (wasps). We will be observing the hives from a distance, and we’re prepared for any pesky flyers with first aid and an epi-pen on hand.

Is this child-friendly?

You bet! Children preschool and up can participate in all of the activities - they just may need more supervision at some points. There are props to put on, pages to colour and an oversize hive puzzle always available. Home schooling? Contact us so we can customize your visit!

I have needs!

Please feel free to let us know how we can help accommodate you! Our snack and brunches can include vegan, gluten free and dairy free options. We are reasonably barrier-free, with ramps to the farm stand, and ground level outhouse. Also, honey is fine for pregnancy, but not so much for infants.
